You have arrived in Spain and have dumped your luggage at one of the Barcelona hotels that you chose because it is near shopping areas. You have mapped out the restaurant that you will try during your visit and now it is time to go shopping.
One good piece of information for Barcelona is that most of the chops are closed during the lunchtime or siesta time. It is typical for the weekdays hours to be from 10:30 am to 2:30pm and then open again from 5pm to 9pm. Many shops will not reopen in the afternoon on Sundays. If elegance is what you are looking for, head to the Passeig de Gracia, Rambla de Catalunya and the Avinguand Diagonal. A few well known luxury boutiques are the Jean Pierre Bua and Gonzalo Comella and near them will be the usual names like Gucci, Chanel and Dolce and Gabbana.
In the are you will also find the lesser priced shopping of H & M, Mango and Zara. One great multibrand that you must try while in Barcelona is off Turo Park called Coquette. When you are tired and in need of food there are many bars and restaurants near by called Amigo and Santalo.
