It usually costs quite a bite to take everything, and you end up really needing something extra if you take nothing at all. To meet it halfway, there are some specific tips to follow for traveling lightly and getting everything you need into your luggage!

First of all, don’t bring things like shampoos and body washes. Yes you will need to shower when you arrive at your location, but you can usually find those necessities at shops for cheaper and for a better quality. For example, Asian countries are well known for their amazing and affordable beauty products so leaving yours at home can give you the opportunity to try new products and even stock up for the way home.

Wear as many clothing articles as possible through layering. Depending on where you are traveling to, this will vary from tank tops to sweaters and thick pants. Another key is to also wear your heaviest shoes on your trip to avoid having to pay extra for heavy luggage or too much luggage. It’s a smart way to get away from paying those extra fees. After all, they can’t charge you for wearing 20 pound boots.

Last, leave behind anything you don’t need. You can enjoy your travels the most by breaking away from your typical products and overrun lifestyle and taking advantage of new products that you discover through your trip.
