Terenife – The Island Of Eternal Spring

The Canary Islands are made up of seven individual islands off the west coast of Africa and by legend are thought to be the remains of the lost continent of Atlantis that slipped beneath the waves. Of the seven islands, Tenerife is the largest and most populated and is a major destination for those on holiday from many countries in Europe.

Tenerife is a rugged land of stark landscapes and it is host to Mount Teide, the third tallest volcano on the planet. For those contemplating a Tenerife holiday, there are endless attractions and activities, excellent accommodations and fine dining, and the year around spring like climate is nearly ideal.

A Tenerife holiday can be a laid back experience or one bustling with activity. To get away from the crowds, trips into the interior will reward the visitor with breathtaking vistas and cultural experiences within quaint mountain villages. Tenerife also has many theme parks, gardens, museums, golf courses and sporting events to please all tastes.

Perhaps the majority of visitors come to enjoy Tenerife’s white sand beaches and cobalt waters that provide a variety of water sports. Scuba diving, sailing, wind surfing and deep sea fishing is superb and many just lay on the beach soaking up the sub-tropical sun.
